FRAGMENT AV HIMMEL
My largest public art work to date is ready and installed! Fragment av Himmel (2024) is made for the staircase of the elementery school Hoplaxskolan in Munkkivuori, Helsinki (Lokkalantie 9). The piece is made of brass and stainless steel elements that change appearance with the light conditions and with the movements of the spectator. Due to the changing schedules of the construction work I have been working on this piece since 2020! So I am very happy to see it ready and working so well. More pictures will be uploaded "shortly". The vast exhibition at Amos Rex art museum presents over 100 artworks from 76 artists, extending from the 1960s to the present day. Art works include painting, installation art, sculpture, video art, photography and sound art. Among them is my installation / artist book Niin kuin ei olisikaan (2013).

The 17 pieces strong coin-fish swarm Silverfish has finally found home. The sculptural installation from 2015 is now a public art work in Karin Kampus, in Rauma. I had the pleasure of touring the building 24.7. 2024 with some of the other 41 artists represented in different parts of this new multi-use complex that houses schools, sporting facilities and events.
