SCULPTURE

Emma Rönnholms objects are a conceptual play with everyday materials. She is drawn to the mundane and seemingly meaningless: the dust, the sewing pins, the newspapers and the dishcloths, and uses the meanings they contain to ask fundamental and surprising questions.

KINETIC WORKS

Do-it-yourself machines, inanimate objects brought to life and all things spinning, breathing or ticking...

Since her first kinetic piece Urbaani Karavaani, made in 2010, large scale mechanical sculptures and installations have been a central part of Emma Rönnholms practise.
