Rainbows keep falling (on my head) 2019
Installation and process; Table, reflective textile, carafes, drinking straws, cotton string, water. Water drips down on a reflective cloth. The water on the surface creates an optical phenomena, where the drops appear either dark, bright or iridescent, depending on the position of the viewer. |
Evocation / Framkallning / Takauma 2019
Site specific installation for the light art biennale FLASH2, 1. - 10.11. 2019. Suomenlinna, Helsinki. The piece features shadow puppets, reflective foil and small spot lights, behind screens of light, semi-transparent plastic. All the elements are set in motion by the air moving through the space. Shadows appear and disappear. The foil crackles and the plastic whispers. Movements are either slow and meditative or fast and furious, depending on the wind. |

Urbaani karavaani 2010/2012is a motorized carousel of used plastic packages. Towers of plastic on wheeled wagons are driven around in a circle by an electric motor in the center of the construction. The piece was originally made for an old showcase space in Helsinki in 2010. It was remade for a summer exhibition in 2012 held in the underground spaces of Retretti art center, Punkaharju.

 In due time 2010The drum from a washing machine spins around slowly, inside the drum tens of soaps tumble around, turning into powder. Outside a heap of sheets lie waiting, the edges soaked in turquoise dye. For every day that goes by the colour climbes a bit higher and the soaps in the washing machine grow smaller. Exhibited in the MA degree show Kuvan Kevät 2010 .
